Solar Energy Is Pure Sunshine!

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Pure sunshine makes almost all of the world’s energy. Let’s repeat that; Pure sunshine makes almost all the world’s energy! No matter how you look at it the sun works in mysterious ways, whether the energy is harvested from of a tree, plant and then used indirectly as wood, pellets, oil or coal(taking billions of years) the majority of energy we use is a product of the sun. Enough sun energy falls on the earth in a single day to supply us with energy for several years. This could also be through several man made sources including solar panels, solar heating and solar hot water panels.     The energy the sun supplies is free, all we need to do is put the equipment in place to harness the raw power going to waste every day. The energy we harness and use today will not deplete the energy we can harness and use tomorrow or the day after and best of all there will still be plenty for our children without the harmful effects on the environment. The drawback for many is the start up cost for purchasing and installing a system. You are paying for your electricity in a lump sum in advance before you even get to enjoy the clean energy. Our culture unfortunately is governed by “pay as you go” which makes all the utility companies very popular since they only charge us for what we use in a given period of time. Imagine paying up front for installation and never having to pay another electricity bill. Maintaining the system is well, basically maintenance free.     So what do you need to make solar energy—-Just the equipment – the sun does the rest! The equipment would be PV Panels, charge controller, batteries, system monitor, inverter and a circuit breaker panel. There are more and more manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of this equipment every day. If you do not believe me the go to the government site http://www.eia.doe.gov/cneaf/solar.renewables/page/solarphotv/solarpv.htmland see the information for yourself. Since 1997 this industry has grown exponentially each and every year.     To fulfill your energy requirements in any weather a good backup system to the solar would be a wind generator. Usually if it is cloudy a solar system will not generate the same output as it would on a sunny day. With the weather being unsettled usually there is wind and wind can also mean electricity backup. It takes and average wind speed of 9 miles per hour to keep a wind generator generating electricity. If wind power is not an option than additional energy storage batteries can also be a solution.     No matter how you look at it solar energy, green energy and wind energy is the only option for a socially responsible culture. We just need to adjust to the change now before the damage we do to the earth is irreversible. The government is offering tax credits for the installation of solar energy systems, up to 30% of the cost, you can see the tax form and instructions here http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f5695.pdfany way you look at it, and it makes more and more sense to install a solar system to create energy.

How to Make Renewable Energy Solutions? â?? DIY Solar Energy Cell

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Are you interested to learn how to make Renewable Energy Solutions using systems such as a DIY solar energy cell? I am sure that you would already realize that your electricity bills is seemingly increasing every month and showing no signs of stopping. As the problem of energy shortage becomes more and more obvious, an increasing number of homeowners around the world are starting to get worried about escalating prices and are seeking alternative ways to generate heat and electricity in their homes. 1. Using DIY Solar Energy Cell to Power Your Home A solar energy cell is one way to harness heat in the form of heating up the air or water, as well as electrical power. This is one of the most effective renewable energy solutions that I am using today. The heat energy from the sun can be used to provide hot water in the house. To generate electricity with it, homeowners can build solar panels on their rooftops that cause a chemical reaction and produce electrical power when interacted with sunlight. It works similar to the way solar powered calculators work except on a bigger scale. 2. How to Make Renewable Energy Solutions System At Home? The method that I used was to follow a step by step guide online that contains clearly illustrated blueprints and video tutorials to guide me with the building process. In the long term, I am sure that it will help to save the environment and more importantly for me, cut down on my electrical bills. Therefore, I believe that every citizen should start to explore and implement the building of renewable energy solutions in their own home to start reducing the environmental hazards traditionally caused by fossil fuels. You can find out about the guide I used at my website link below.

Make Natural Energy

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

The cost of energy is rising as we speak which in turn is causing many people’s energy bills to increase dramatically in price. How exactly can we combat this energy crisis? Well, we can’t exactly stop the rises in cost but we can begin to rely on different forms of energy. In particular, we can make our own natural energy. Making natural energy offers many benefits as well as helps the environments. Let’s take a look at what making natural energy has to offer.

If you were to install a solar panel or wind generator somewhere outside of your house you could save up to 80% on your energy bill within a month. In fact, you could even earn money by building your own natural power source. This is all great, but what exactly would it cost to install a solar panel or wind generator. Unfortunately, having one of these natural energy sources professionally installed could cost anywhere from $3000-$10,000. You might be asking yourself what the point of this article is if I am already requiring to dish out thousands of dollars. Aren’t we supposed to be saving money?

Yes, it is true that having a solar panel or wind generator proffesionally installed can cost thousands of dollars. But, this is where many people make a mistake when making the jump to green energy. People are made to believe that these expensive units are there only means to a natural energy source when in fact they can build the same renewable energy sources for about 2% of the price.

Instead of paying someone else to install these natural energy sources, why not just make your own natural power for a fraction of the price. By making your own natural power you will still recieve all of the benefits of a solar panel or wind generator for a fraction of the price. This includes…

Remember, you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars in order to have your very own natural energy. You can do everything the professionals do for a fraction of the price. Green energy is the future, why not get started right now?

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Renewable Energy Sources

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

What are the advantages and Disadvantages of Using Green Energy Sources?Nowadays, we are at this time aware of the aftermath of global warming. Luckily, it isn’t too late and we will be able to still vary which explains why many are pushing for green energy sources. The benefit of using green energy sources is clean so it is unpolluted so it doesn’t emit anything harmful into the air which has an effect on the atmosphere. It is also renewable which suggests we will never run out of it not like oil which is expected to dry up in 10 years or so.Though green energy facilities are dear to construct, it needs less upkeep so you don’t have to shell out a lot of money to operate it.It can also bring business advantages to certain areas even boost tourism. At the same time as these sound good, there are some who say that there are benefits to using such technology. While clean energy sources can manufacture electricity, how much it can produce is not consistent. This is because we haven’t any control of the weather so if a certain area relies on solar electricity and there’s a weather distraction, it won’t be in a position to convert daylight into electricity.Building these facilities also requires lots of land so we may have to cut on farmland which is what many are nervous about if more air turbines are to be put up.Another downside is the fact that some of the replenish-able energy sources can’t be installed in certain areas of the planet. For example, wave energy can only be employed if the waves coming from the ocean attain at least sixteen feet. The use geothermal energy can only be done in geologically volatile parts of the planet. But if you look at such discussions, places that can’t use one form of clean energy source can be substituted for another. If turbines need more space, they can be installed close to the coast rather than putting these on land. A study shows that you can create more electricity while these are in the ocean. At the same time as the weather is something we can’t control, it isn’t common-or-garden not common-or-garden that there’s a weather derangement so this too shall pass. If solar electricity is being used and the sun is covered, the emergency generators will be activated and use up the energy that was stored. The point is that there are tactics round the bitching put by certain individuals which discourage the use of renewable energy sources. In reality, research is continuing to try and harness other means to create the power we require.A very good instance of this is known as sea thermal energy. Power is generated by harnessing the altered temperatures in the water. It is presently being used on a tiny scale both in Japan and Hawaii. In the US, only 7% of green energy sources are used all over the country. This was way higher 11 years back and if we don’t have to fret about the price of oil or maybe reduce our reliance on it, we should invest more in this clean energy. We can get it from renewable energy sources like biomass, biodiesel, geothermal, solar, water and the wind. These are things we have all around us and all it takes is for somebody to exploit it rather than counting on conventional non-renewable means to supply energy. To check out a review of Renewable Energy Resource products that can save you hundreds of dollars on your electricity bills click here

Who Needs Electricity From Renewable Energy System

Friday, January 1st, 2010

It could be “all the rage” today to jump on the bandwagon and need to use replenish-able energy to help save the planet, but in reality, how do you use the earth’s renewable resources and save cash on our own energy costs? How does one basically get to employ a renewable energy like the sun or wind to power your home? Do you get a professional installer to put up some solar energy panels or a wind energy generator? Will you take the leap and try to do it yourself and hope you actually finish the project and end up with a usable system? There are many questions about this topic but we will try to give you some answers.
Good stories is, green energy is rising and that makes it simpler for the typical person to setup and install your own clean energy system.
The truth is that it isn’t hard not hard to build wind turbines and many homeowners are taking the challenge to build their own wind turbines as an inexpensive means to using renewable energies. It isn’t exactly snap-your-fingers straightforward to build wind turbines either, but with the proper plans and a galvanized builder you can be building air turbines in no time.
When the wind dies down (or doesn’t exist at all) then solar energy panels are a great option and frequently solar energy panels and wind energy generators are used together to generate a home’s power. Solar electricity is an example of the finest and most trustworthy replenish-able energy sources available. The difficulty most amateur environmental soldiers find is that the cost of professionally installed solar power systems is way outside their budget and it could take well over ten years to see a return on their investment.
You might be thinking that building wind turbines and/or solar cells on your own will cost thousands of dollars much like a professional system. You would be stunned just how inexpensive building your own solar or wind energy system can be. With the right plans, you can build your own wind energy generator for between $180-200 and less if you can find some pieces to recycle from other used apparatus, as an example. The key is to discover a plan that works for your goals.
There are numerous different DIY plans available online today. You need to make sure that you get complete plans that include
? Complete instructions and diagrams
? resources to get certain parts you can need ( best to avoid plans that require purchasing parts from specialised internet sites since this can cost extra money )
The key to keeping costs down and completing any project lies in good planning, and the right manual will help you do just that. Look for proven, experienced and moderately priced replenish-able energy manuals. You do not have to spend hundreds, and some of the finest manuals available are terribly creative in their use of materials found at your local hardware store or by employing recycled materials.
So, for a little bit of elbow grease, you can make your own electricity for years ahead, help the environment and save money with a ” renewable energy system.

What Is Renewable Energy

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Renewable energy is a source of power which is replenished naturally, such as solar, wind or biomass. In 2005, about 13% of global primary, or raw, energy comes from renewables, of which most is from traditional biomass like wood-burning.Hydropower is the second largest renewable source, supplying 2-3%, while modern renewable technologies such as solar, wind, marine and geothermal collectively produce less than 1% of the total world energy demand.SolarSolar Photovoltaic (PV) systems convert radiation from the sun into electricity. PV will work in any weather so long as there is daylight – the greater the intensity of sunlight on the PV panels, the more electricity is generated. Research is ongoing in solar technology, and efficiency is expected to increase substantially (current PV is approximately 15% efficient) as developments such as solar thermal energy generation (STEG) are brought into the mainstream.Despite our infamous weather, the average UK home could generate 50-60% of its electricity needs from PV panels installed on the house rooftop.WindWind turbines harness the power contained within a moving mass of air. The rotation of the blades causes the shaft of the turbine to rotate inside a generator, producing electricity. The greater the speed of the wind, the more power is produced and as wind speed increases with height, turbines are normally sited on a tall mast.BiomassBiomass is only considered renewable because it can be replaced at the same rate as which it is used (by growing trees for example). Biomass includes two main categories: woody (forest residues and energy crops like willow) and non-woody (animal waste and high energy crops like rapeseed).BiofuelsBiofuels are derived from biomass and are used in vehicles as a blend with conventional fuel. Petrol vehicles can be modified to take a blend of 85% bioethanol and 15% petrol, while diesel vehicles generally accept 5% biodiesel and 95% mineral diesel. Some manufacturers, such as Volkswagen Germany, cover their diesel engines to run on 100% biodiesel. It should be noted that 100% biodiesel engines are not carbon neutral – life cycle assessments show that first generation biofuels can save up to 60% carbon emissions, while second generation biofuels can save up to 80%.Recently, biofuels have gained headlines in the form of disputes over land-use. Italy and Mexico have both seen that increased use of land for biofuels inevitably leads to lower crop-production, sparking protests over the price of pasta or corn flour. The UK has set a target for biofuels under the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation, which requires 5% of all fuel sold by 2010 to come from renewable sources.
